Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to help them achieve maximum independence in daily living activities. This role is ideal for clinicians who are patient-focused, organized, and passionate about improving quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living and work skills
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Primary Skills:
Occupational therapy assessment and treatment planning
Patient education and family communication
Time management and organizational skills
Clinical documentation and reporting
Interdisciplinary teamwork
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Home Health therapy experience
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology
Cultural competence and patient advocacy
Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
A minimum of six months of occupational therapy experience preferred
Home Health experience a plus
Current and unrestricted OT licensure
Current CPR certification
Good organizational and communication skills
A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required
