Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compassionate patient care. Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life following illness or injury. Guided by a mission to care for and improve human life, you will provide evidence-based therapy tailored to each patient’s unique goals and capabilities. Working collaboratively with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and deliver hands-on treatment that supports recovery at every stage.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs, developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and improved quality of life.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate, timely documentation reflecting outcomes.
Educate patients and families to foster understanding, confidence, and active participation in recovery.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe transitions of care and exceptional patient experiences.
Provide guidance and mentorship to therapy assistants or students, supporting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Primary Skills:
Patient evaluation and functional assessment

Patient and family education
Clinical documentation and compliance
Interdisciplinary collaboration
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience mentoring therapy assistants or students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptability in fast-paced acute care environments
Quality improvement participation
Qualifications:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas required.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care facility preferred; new graduates will be considered.
Ability to work weekdays with rotating weekends and holidays.
