Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Dementia Therapist to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals living with dementia. The role involves assessing needs, creating tailored care plans, administering medication, and supporting residents with meaningful daily activities.
Responsibilities:

Deliver individualised care tailored to each resident’s needs.

Ensure safe and accurate administration of medication.

Formulate and implement person-centred care plans.

Work collaboratively with the care team and liaise with multi-disciplinary professionals.

Provide emotional, physical, and medical support to residents.

Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance quality of life.
Primary Skills:

Strong clinical knowledge in dementia care.

Competence in safe medication administration.

Ability to develop and implement person-centred care plans.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience in dementia-focused therapy techniques.

Training in cognitive stimulation and behaviour management.

Knowledge of current dementia research and best practices.
Qualifications:

Registered Nurse qualification with active license.

Prior experience in dementia or elderly care preferred.

Completion of additional training in dementia and medication management (or willingness to complete).
