Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work directly with radiologists and cardiologists to perform a variety of nuclear medicine and PET procedures. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, sound judgment, and adherence to radiation protection practices while addressing the physical, emotional, spiritual, and age-specific needs of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine and PET procedures with precision and care.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and cardiologists to ensure accurate diagnostic outcomes.
  • Utilize ingenuity and professional judgment to address patient-specific needs during procedures.
  • Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and practices.
  • Provide compassionate care tailored to patients' special, physical, emotional, and age-specific requirements.

Primary Skills:

  • Proficiency in nuclear medicine procedures and PET imaging.
  • Strong understanding of radiation protection practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with radiologists, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary teams.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and procedures efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist License.
  • CNMT certification or registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • CPR certification.
