Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to provide high-quality behavioral health services to individuals and families. The ideal candidate will deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support client wellness and recovery.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual, family, and group counseling services using evidence-based practices
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic healthcare record (EHR) system
Ensure all required documentation is completed within prescribed time frames
Coordinate and present educational lectures for clients, families, staff, and community partners
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and supervision as required
Maintain compliance with all agency, state, and regulatory guidelines
Primary Skills:
Strong knowledge of evidence-based behavioral health practices
Skilled in individual, family, and group counseling techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in computer systems and electronic healthcare records
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience presenting educational workshops or community lectures
Experience working with diverse populations
Familiarity with community mental health settings
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies, or related field
Must qualify as a MHP or QMHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements (designated positions)
Must have reliable transportation (designated positions)
