Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical proficiency, strong assessment skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly to the healthcare team.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

Primary Skills:

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency

Patient care planning and coordination

Effective communication and teamwork

Knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety protocols

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience in walk-in clinic settings

Experience in primary care or specialty care environments

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting with demonstrated proficiency in areas emphasized in the Registered Nurse curriculum

Current NY State RN license

Documentation of current CPR certification required within one week of start of employment
