Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Lab Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, contributing to accurate diagnostic outcomes that are critical for patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic laboratory tests in hematology, microbiology, immunology, and other departments

  • Analyze samples and ensure quality control procedures are maintained

  • Record and report results accurately to medical staff

  • Maintain lab equipment and adhere to safety and cleanliness standards

  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses for effective patient treatment

Primary Skills:

  • Strong understanding of clinical laboratory techniques and procedures

  • Proficiency in lab instrumentation and related technologies

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in results reporting

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS)

  • Previous hospital or clinical lab experience

  • Knowledge of state and federal lab regulations

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years training in a recognized school that results in an associate degree or a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution

  • Must be registry eligible or certified by a recognized accrediting agency

  • Must obtain certification within one year of hire date

  • Certification: BLS must be maintained throughout employment
