Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medicaid CAP (Cost Allocation Plan) Functional Specialist to support and optimize Medicaid cost allocation methodologies, federal administrative cost claiming, and compliance with federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Medicaid CAP methodologies, knowledge of federal guidelines, and expertise in configuring and updating AlloCAP software settings.
Responsibilities:
- Apply Medicaid Cost Allocation Plan (CAP) methodologies to ensure compliance with federal requirements.
- Support federal administrative cost claiming processes, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations.
- Stay updated on and implement federal regulations, including:
- 2 CFR 200 – Uniform Administrative Requirements
- Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards
- Update and manage AlloCAP software configurations and settings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize cost allocation strategies and improve financial reporting accuracy.
- Analyze cost allocation data and provide insights for improved program efficiencies.
- Ensure all documentation and reporting align with federal and state Medicaid guidelines.
Primary Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Medicaid Cost Allocation Plan (CAP) methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of federal administrative cost claiming processes.
- Expertise in 2 CFR 200 regulations, cost principles, and federal audit requirements.
- Hands-on experience updating and configuring AlloCAP software.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience working with state Medicaid agencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with other cost allocation software solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Medicaid CAP methodologies and federal cost claiming.
