Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapist to support physical, occupational, and therapeutic recreation staff in delivering high-quality patient care. This role offers the opportunity to work in a diverse and fast-paced healthcare environment alongside a collaborative and skilled team of therapists.
Responsibilities:
Assist physical, occupational, and therapeutic recreation staff in patient care activities
Support therapy sessions and help prepare equipment and treatment areas
Monitor and report patient responses and progress to the therapy team
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
Follow all healthcare protocols, safety standards, and facility guidelines
Primary Skills:
Patient care support
Rehabilitation therapy assistance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
Team collaboration
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Knowledge of physical or occupational therapy practices
Experience with therapeutic recreation programs
Basic medical terminology
Organizational and time management skills
Qualifications:
Nursing Assistant-Registered (NAR) with the State of Washington
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Six months of experience in customer service within a healthcare setting OR six months of direct patient care experience OR equivalent education/experience
Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire
