Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and board-certified Infectious Disease Physician to join a thriving practice. The role involves managing patients with a variety of infectious diseases across multiple care settings, offering the opportunity for professional growth and long-term career development including shareholder status.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Primary Care Physicians to manage patient conditions through evaluations, interviews, tests, and treatment recommendations.

Diagnose and manage complex infectious diseases.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests including blood, urine, imaging, and biopsies.

Communicate treatment plans and test results with clarity and empathy.

Manage treatment of diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis, pneumonia, bone infections, and more.

Round at 2 hospital sites and an inpatient rehab; provide wound care services including hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Provide weekend call coverage every 5 weeks.

Utilize EPIC Electronic Health Records.

Participate in hospital telehealth consults starting in 2025.
Primary Skills:

Expertise in diagnosing and managing infectious diseases

Skilled in interpreting complex diagnostic results

Strong interpersonal communication for patient education and team collaboration

Proficiency in EPIC EHR
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy

Prior telehealth or virtual consultation experience

Leadership in multidisciplinary care settings
Qualifications:

MD/DO from an accredited medical school

Completion of Internal Medicine Residency (3 years)

Completion of Infectious Disease Fellowship (2 years)

Board Certification in Internal Medicine: Infectious Disease (within 2 years of hire)

Unrestricted Medical License in Ohio

Completion of Wound Care/HBO course with Healogics
