Job Overview/Summary:

The Health & Well-Being Coach is responsible for supporting clients in achieving sustainable lifestyle and behavioral changes through personalized coaching strategies. This role involves assessing client needs, providing guidance, and delivering evidence-based wellness solutions while maintaining high standards of documentation and client care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments to understand health and well-being needs
  • Develop and implement personalized coaching strategies to support behavior change
  • Apply professional coaching methodologies to guide clients effectively
  • Exercise independent judgment in evaluating client concerns and determining appropriate interventions
  • Recommend resources, referrals, and support pathways as needed
  • Maintain accurate and compliant case documentation in the proprietary database
  • Track and report outcomes, metrics, and service utilization data

Primary Skills:

  • Strong active listening and coaching abilities
  • Empathy and client-centered communication skills
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment in problem-solving
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Certifications such as Wellcoaches, Catalyst Coaching, NBC-HWC, or Certified Health Education Specialist
  • Additional certifications like Personal Trainer, Registered Dietitian, or Yoga/Meditation Instructor
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to develop customer communication materials
  • Strong customer service orientation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of related experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships effectively
  • Stable work history
  • Flexibility to work day and evening hours based on client needs
