Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a skilled GraphQL API Developer to design, develop, and optimize data-intensive APIs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GraphQL schema design, API implementation, and performance tuning. This role requires strong expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, and React.js, as well as best practices for API security and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize GraphQL queries and mutations for efficient data fetching and updating.
- Design and implement GraphQL schemas and API requirements.
- Ensure scalability, responsiveness, and performance optimization of APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API-related performance and security issues.
- Work with backend and frontend teams to integrate GraphQL APIs into applications.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data in API interactions.
- Conduct code reviews, follow best practices, and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Primary Skills:
- Strong experience in GraphQL development, including schema definition and API implementation.
- Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, and React.js for backend and frontend development.
- Experience with data-intensive APIs and handling complex data structures.
- Proficiency in optimizing GraphQL queries for performance and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of API security best practices and authentication mechanisms.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience with RESTful APIs and transitioning from REST to GraphQL.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) for backend data management.
- Familiarity with TypeScript for strongly-typed API development.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
