Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Civil Engineer to contribute to residential and commercial development projects. This role involves designing and analyzing geotechnical solutions, performing material testing, and implementing remediation strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license and have expertise in groundwater, soil analysis, and civil engineering principles.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and prepare detailed reports for residential and commercial development projects.
- Design and analyze foundations, retaining walls, slopes, and other geotechnical structures.
- Perform material testing and analysis for soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
- Assess and recommend remediation strategies for geotechnical challenges.
- Collaborate with civil engineering teams to integrate geotechnical solutions into overall project designs.
- Evaluate groundwater conditions and their impact on soil and structures.
- Use geotechnical software and tools to model and analyze data.
- Provide technical support during construction, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Document findings, maintain records, and communicate results to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in residential and commercial development projects.
- Experience with material testing and geotechnical remediation strategies.
- Knowledge of soil mechanics, groundwater conditions, and geotechnical data analysis.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and modeling tools.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
