Job Overview/Summary: We are seeking a skilled Dotmatics Consultant to lead Dotmatics implementation projects, design data models, configure forms and templates, and provide training on system configuration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Dotmatics (version 7.1 onwards), strong SQL and Python skills, and a background in scientific applications. This role involves gathering business requirements, demonstrating workflows, and supporting integration efforts in life sciences and pharmaceutical environments. Responsibilities: Lead Dotmatics implementation, including data model design, form creation, and template configuration. Provide Dotmatics training to internal teams and key customer users. Conduct scientific business analysis to review existing processes and create process flows using BPMN tools (Visio, Lucidchart). Gather and document requirements, develop use cases, and present solutions to stakeholders. Demonstrate workflows to business users and R&D IT stakeholders. Produce and deliver configuration documentation, reports, and required implementation artifacts to customers.
Primary Skills: 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Dotmatics configuration and implementation, preferably with version 7.1 or later. Strong interest in training and mentoring team members in Dotmatics configuration. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data model design. Ability to prioritize requirements, handle escalations, guide teams, and resolve blockers.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have): Experience with scientific applications such as LIMS and ELN. Experience with system and instrument integration, as well as data migration.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Dotmatics implementation consultant, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
