Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Disease Prevention Nurse – Tuberculosis to join our public health team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing tuberculosis prevention, education, and outreach, while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide TB prevention, case management, and outreach services in a public health setting.

Conduct health assessments, patient interviews, and risk evaluations.

Develop and implement individualized care plans and coordinate follow-up care.

Deliver educational presentations and training to community groups, patients, and healthcare personnel.

Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and reports in compliance with agency policies.

Collaborate with public health staff, physicians, and other community partners to improve TB prevention efforts.

Respond to public health emergencies and adapt to changing priorities as needed.

Ensure infection control measures and compliance with all public health standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of public health clinic operations, preventive healthcare principles, and medical terminology.

Skill in building cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.

Strong training, presentation, and computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency required).

Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work independently or as part of a team.

Comfortable working in environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases and bloodborne pathogens.
Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN).

Two years of nursing experience (public health or infectious disease preferred).
Preferred Education & Experience:

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and translation).
Licenses/Certificates:

Current Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the State of Colorado (or meet compact licensure requirements within 90 days of employment).

Valid driver’s license and CPR certification required.
