Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Director, Medical Affairs to lead the medical strategy and execution for ivonescimab in solid tumor oncology. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in oncology, experience in novel therapies, and a strong track record of building relationships with key opinion leaders while aligning medical strategies with clinical, regulatory, and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and execution of the medical affairs strategy for ivonescimab across multiple solid tumor indications.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive medical affairs plan, including KOL engagement, advisory board meetings, medical publications, MSL initiatives, and support of investigator-sponsored trials.

  • Provide scientific and medical input into clinical development plans to ensure regulatory and commercial alignment.

  • Collaborate with clinical development on clinical trial design, pivotal studies, and post-marketing investigations.

  • Establish and strengthen relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions.

  • Represent the company at major medical and scientific conferences by presenting data and therapeutic updates.

  • Develop educational and training materials for internal teams, healthcare providers, and regulatory stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all medical affairs activities.

  • Partner with commercial teams to support product launch strategies and market access initiatives.

  • Provide medical insights to support marketing strategies, messaging, and promotional materials.

Primary Skills:

  • Expertise in oncology, particularly solid tumor biology and therapeutic approaches.

  • Proven leadership in medical strategy and medical affairs execution.

  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex scientific data.

  • Experience engaging with KOLs and medical/scientific stakeholders globally.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Knowledge of targeted therapies, immunotherapies, or gene therapies.

  • Experience with electronic document management systems and medical review tools.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • MD, PhD, or PharmD required (oncology specialization preferred).

  • Minimum of 7+ years in medical affairs and/or clinical development within the biopharma industry, with oncology focus.

  • Demonstrated experience leading medical strategies for oncology therapies.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Office and related medical/scientific tools.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (20–30%).
