Job Title: DDI Engineer

Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking an experienced DDI Engineer to design, implement, and manage DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions across mission-critical enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in DDI appliance technologies from leading vendors, cloud-based DDI solutions, DNS security policies, and network automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement DDI solutions for enterprise environments, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot DDI appliances from vendors such as Infoblox, BlueCat, and EfficientIP.
  • Configure and manage SaaS-based DDI solutions in AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms.
  • Develop and enforce DNS security policies and resolution policies to enhance network security.
  • Configure and troubleshoot DNS zones, including zone transfers, delegation, and DNS forwarding.
  • Manage and configure DHCP scopes and options across multiple environments.
  • Design and implement efficient IP address management techniques, including subnetting and supernetting.
  • Integrate DDI solutions with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Develop automation scripts for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM tasks using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Resolve complex networking issues related to DDI protocols and network services.
  • Design and implement NTP solutions for data centers and cloud service providers.
  • Create technical documentation, network designs, and implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and user story development.

Primary Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in network solutions with a strong focus on DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
  • Expertise in Infoblox, BlueCat, EfficientIP, or other leading DDI appliances.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud-based DDI solutions in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Deep knowledge of DNS security policies, DNS resolution policies, and zone management.
  • Experience in DHCP configuration, troubleshooting, and scope management.
  • Proficiency in IP address management (IPAM), subnetting, and supernetting.
  • Experience in network automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for DDI-related network issues.
  • Knowledge of NTP implementation in enterprise environments.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools integrated with DDI solutions.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, and network security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in DevOps environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking with a focus on DDI solutions.
  • Relevant certifications in DDI technologies (Infoblox, BlueCat, etc.) are a plus.
