Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CMMC Engineer to oversee compliance efforts, conduct gap analyses, and streamline regulatory workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience with CMMC, SOC, and SOX compliance and the ability to organize outputs and develop efficient processes. This role requires strong ownership of compliance work, documentation, and audit preparation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality control, assessments, and gap analysis to ensure compliance with CMMC regulations.
  • Review and enhance policies to align with CMMC, SOC, and SOX financial audits.
  • Assist with internal and external regulatory examinations and audits.
  • Develop structured processes to bridge compliance gaps and optimize workflows.
  • Prioritize tasks based on framework requirements, scoring, and analysis results.
  • Create compliant policies, documentation, and processes to support audit efforts.
  • Own and manage compliance initiatives across multiple business units.
  • Support audit preparation and remediation efforts for upcoming assessments.

Existing Efforts:

  • Consultants have conducted discoveries, self-evaluations, and initial gap assessments.
  • Compliance outputs have been gathered but require better organization and process development.
  • Current workflows are manual and need automation and efficiency improvements.

Environment Details:

  • Small IT landscape: 29 servers with a mix of on-premise and cloud applications.
  • Primary compliance focus: CMMC, with additional responsibilities for SOC and SOX.
  • The compliance framework is established, requiring efficient implementation.

Primary Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in audit remediation and compliance.
  • CMMC knowledge and implementation experience.
  • Strong skills in compliance frameworks, scoring, and prioritization.
  • Proven ability to organize outputs, develop processes, and drive compliance.
  • Excellent documentation and policy creation skills.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Familiarity with SOC and SOX compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with process automation and workflow optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • No specific certifications required but CMMC expertise is essential.
  • Experience working within established frameworks and regulatory environments.
  • Ability to take ownership of compliance work and implement improvements.
