Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Clinical Psychologist to conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in standardized autism assessments, deliver high-quality diagnostic reports, and provide family-centered recommendations to support children and their caregivers.
Responsibilities:
Conduct diagnostic evaluations for children with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Administer standardized assessments, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule Second Edition (ADOS-2) and the Childhood Autism Rating Scale Second Edition (CARS-2), along with complementary tools
Prepare comprehensive diagnostic reports that meet insurance and regulatory requirements
Review evaluation findings with families and provide clear, actionable service recommendations
Coordinate evaluation schedules, manage waitlists, and collaborate with the outreach team and Senior Director of Diagnostic Assessment
Participate in ongoing professional development related to ASD evaluations and evidence-based best practices
Perform occasional in-person assessments within the assigned region (minimal travel required)
Primary Skills:
Expertise in ADOS-2 and autism-specific diagnostic testing
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic formulation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work directly and effectively with children during assessments
Family-centered, compassionate approach to care
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience preparing insurance-compliant psychological reports
Experience working in interdisciplinary or collaborative care models
Familiarity with telehealth-based assessments and hybrid service delivery
Qualifications:
Licensed Psychologist (active and in good standing)
PSYPACT licensed
Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) or equivalent
HSPP endorsement (as required by state)
Successful completion of the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP)
Availability to work during Eastern and/or Central Standard Time zones
