Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. The role involves delivering expert clinical pharmacy services, supporting safe and effective use of medications, and contributing to the training, education, and development of pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out CPD in line with GPhC requirements.
- Maintain and demonstrate up-to-date clinical pharmacist knowledge.
- Work within the policies and procedures of Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, as well as partner organisations.
- Provide timely and accurate verbal and written information on medication usage to service users, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in in-house training for pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals, both as a learner and a trainer.
- Support the training of pre-registration pharmacy graduates and mental health pharmacy diploma students.
- Contribute to the development of the medicines management clinical audit programme, particularly POMH audits, and ensure roll-out to allocated units.
- Engage in research and development activities to support clinical pharmacy service growth.
Primary Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacy and mental health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide training and mentorship.
- Knowledge of audit processes and medicines management systems.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Research experience within clinical pharmacy services.
- Familiarity with POMH audits and related processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Current registration with GPhC.
- Postgraduate qualification in clinical or mental health pharmacy, or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Current registration as Independent Non-Medical Prescriber.
