Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing clinical support, assisting physicians, performing diagnostic tests, administering treatments, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. This role is vital in delivering high-quality care and maintaining efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities:

Greet and escort patients from the waiting room to exam rooms; prepare patients for exams or treatments; take vital signs.

Provide assistance to physicians when requested.

Perform Spirometry and other breathing tests as ordered.

Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.

Perform patient education when appropriate.
-
Complete appropriate documentation in patients' medical records.

Call in prescriptions as ordered by physicians or nurse practitioners.

Perform allergy prick testing and/or intradermal testing as ordered.
-
Administer allergy injections based on physician-approved schedules.

Monitor patients’ medical status for possible adverse reactions following allergy injections.

Maintain emergency equipment (oxygen, code kit, suction, etc.).

Answer patient-related telephone calls and respond according to clinical protocol.

Follow up to obtain referrals and insurance authorization as needed.

Maintain clinical supply stock and medication samples.

Comply with HIPAA and practice confidentiality policies.

Maintain proficiency in practice management and software applications.

Attend CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, and OIG training programs and regular meetings.

Perform other tasks and projects assigned by the Manager.
Primary Skills:

Clinical assisting skills (vital signs, injections, allergy testing).

Strong documentation and patient communication skills.

Proficiency in practice management and word processing software.

Ability to handle emergency situations with appropriate responses.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience with Spirometry and breathing tests.

Knowledge of insurance authorization and referrals process.

Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical office protocols.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Registered Nurse (RN) License required.

At least one year of experience in clinical assisting.

Comfortable using email and internet applications.
