Job Overview/Summary:

The Care Management Associate supports the care coordination and management of patients by assisting healthcare professionals with administrative, billing, and documentation tasks. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for case management and care coordination activities.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.

  • Communicate with patients, providers, and internal departments to resolve inquiries.

  • Adhere to company policies, confidentiality standards, and compliance regulations.

  • Support the administration of hospital care, case management, and quality management processes.

  • Assist in researching and resolving claims payment issues when required.

Primary Skills:

  • 2–4 years of experience in the healthcare field, medical or health setting, or medical billing and coding.

  • Experience in a call center or customer service environment.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Proven ability to meet daily metrics with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Research and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with PM Policies, URAQ, NCQA, and CMSA standards.

  • Experience maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
