Job Overview/Summary:
The Cardiovascular Account Specialist is responsible for delivering sales results and serving as the single point of accountability for a successful product launch within the assigned territory. This role requires developing territory-specific account plans, collaborating with integrated field teams, and acting as a subject matter expert for healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
Deliver sales results, work autonomously, and serve as the single point of accountability for a successful launch within the territory
Develop territory-specific account plans that identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities to meet customer needs by coordinating efforts of a local integrated field team (medical, payer, and patient navigation/support colleagues)
Be a subject matter expert and resource to customers through delivery of clinically relevant disease and product information while focusing on creating demand for the product launch
Communicate approved resources to HCPs for the benefit of HCM patients including marketing materials, payer information, formulary coverage, patient support services, and educational programs
Primary Skills:
Biotech/pharma sales expertise
Territory planning and account management
Clinical knowledge related to cardiology or specialty care
Stakeholder engagement and communication
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Rare disease or specialty product experience
Product launch experience
Experience with patient service hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution
Knowledge of KOLs and key accounts within the territory
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of experience in biotech/pharma sales required
Experience as a representative with sole ownership of a territory highly preferred
Cardiology, rare disease, or specialty product experience preferred
Specialty product launch experience preferred
Experience with patient service hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution preferred
Knowledge of KOLs and key accounts within the assigned territory preferred
Expertise in evaluating territory market trends and strategic planning that drives results and exceeds sales objectives required
Experience selling to complex accounts, identifying influential stakeholders, and meeting patient needs required
Clinical acumen with a passion for understanding and championing the needs of customers and their patients required
Agree to credentialing requirements for access to academic institutions, medical facilities, and organizations in the assigned territory required
Willing and able to overnight travel 25% to 75% depending on business needs and geography required
Ability to demonstrate an acceptable driving record and valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle required
