Job Overview/Summary:
The Behavioral Health Care Therapist provides therapeutic support, assessment, and care coordination for individuals with mental health or co-occurring disorders. This role focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based interventions while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive behavioral health care.
Responsibilities:

Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions.

Coordinate care with medical professionals, community organizations, and support services.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records.

Support crisis intervention, patient advocacy, and resource linkage as needed.

Monitor progress and adjust treatment goals to optimize patient outcomes.
Primary Skills:

Strong clinical assessment and therapy skills.

Knowledge of behavioral health principles and evidence-based interventions.

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience working in community or county mental health settings.

Dual diagnosis experience (mental health and substance abuse).

Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare programs and low-income populations.

Prior experience with clinical training or mentorship.
Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Counseling; OR Registered Nurse with 2+ years of behavioral health experience.

Active, unrestricted independent license in the State of Indiana (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, PSY, or RN with 2+ years of behavioral health experience).

Minimum 2 years of case management experience.

Computer and typing proficiency with experience in email, internet research, and online scheduling tools.

Dedicated home workspace with high-speed internet (cable/DSL/fiber).

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel up to 25% within designated area).
