Job Overview/Summary:
Senior Accountants are responsible for performing both audit and tax engagements with little supervision. They also direct and review the work of staff accountants. Senior Accountants are capable of making decisions on most accounting, tax, and auditing matters. They continue to hone their skills in all areas of public accounting through assignments, continuing education, and training.
 
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise the various phases of an audit engagement.
Assume responsibility for the supervision of tax return preparation engagements.
Evaluate the performance of Staff Accountants.
Continue to foster quality client relationships.
Keep abreast of tax regulations, changes, and accounting research.
Primary Skills:
Minimum three to five years of auditing and tax experience.
Bachelors in Accounting, CPA Certification preferred.
Strong technical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be a team player and able to supervise junior staff.
