Job Title: Medical Science Liaison

Job Overview/Summary:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will serve as a key scientific resource, responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical investigators, and healthcare professionals (HCPs). This role involves providing scientific exchange, supporting peer-to-peer discussions, and gathering real-world insights to inform internal strategy. The MSL will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliant and effective medical communication, education, and research support.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and clinical investigators.

  • Conduct in-person scientific exchange visits and provide complex product information.

  • Support peer-to-peer engagement to foster disease and product awareness.

  • Gather insights from the field to inform internal R&D and commercial strategies.

  • Educate healthcare professionals through medical booth interactions and conference participation.

  • Deliver live, interactive training sessions for field and sales teams.

  • Participate in advisory boards, investigator-initiated studies, and post-marketing research.

  • Provide oversight for HEOR and RWE study development and publication planning.

  • Review and approve scientific, educational, and promotional materials for accuracy and compliance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for launch planning and data dissemination.

  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance, and ethical standards.

  • Travel extensively to attend meetings, conferences, and educational events.

Primary Skills:

  • Strong scientific and medical expertise in pharmaceutical or life sciences.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities for complex scientific topics.

  • Relationship management and networking with KOLs and HCPs.

  • Strategic collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience in HEOR or real-world evidence (RWE) studies.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks in medical affairs.

  • Experience with advisory boards or investigator-initiated trials.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent) required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison preferred.

  • Proven understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development process.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the U.S.
