Job Overview/Summary:
Experienced Impact Finance Accounting Supervisor to lead key accounting processes and manage a team responsible for accurate and timely transaction processing, general ledger maintenance, and reporting. This role involves administering accounting controls, resolving various accounting issues, and participating in company projects. The Accounting Manager will also assist in preparing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance analyses.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage key accounting processes and lead team members to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing
  • Oversee general ledger maintenance and financial reporting
  • Administer accounting controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Train, motivate, assign work, check results, and assist with performance reviews for assigned staff
  • Research and resolve accounting issues raised by internal and external customers
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and variance analyses
  • Participate in departmental and company-wide projects, leading smaller projects as needed

Primary Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping principles, theories, and controls
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve exceptions
  • Thorough knowledge of financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • CPA certification and prior management experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Six or more years of accounting experience
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage accounting processes
