Job Title: Female Intensive Support Worker

Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Female Intensive Support Worker to provide specialist care to individuals with complex medical and behavioural needs. The role requires hands-on clinical expertise, emotional resilience, and the ability to support individuals in a person-centred, dignified, and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised, high-quality care to individuals with complex health needs.

  • Support safe hospital discharges and mobilisation of new care packages.

  • Provide clinical support in line with individual care plans.

  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.

  • Maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

Primary Skills:

  • Bowel & bladder management including catheter care, bladder washouts, and manual evacuation.

  • Non-invasive respiratory support (CPAP, Bi-PAP).

  • Basic physiotherapy (e.g., passive movements).

  • Enteral feeding – feeds and medication administration.

  • Learning Disability & Autism support, including behaviours of concern.

  • Airway management – tracheostomy care and invasive ventilation.

  • Prescribed suctioning (nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal).

  • Supporting individuals with complex behaviours.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience in community or domiciliary healthcare settings.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment practices.

  • Experience supporting clients with both physical and learning disabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

  • Valid certifications in clinical procedures (e.g., tracheostomy, enteral feeding, CPAP/Bi-PAP).

  • Up-to-date mandatory training (Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, Infection Control).
