Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Female Intensive Support Worker to provide specialist care to individuals with complex medical and behavioural needs. The role requires hands-on clinical expertise, emotional resilience, and the ability to support individuals in a person-centred, dignified, and professional manner.
Responsibilities:

Deliver personalised, high-quality care to individuals with complex health needs.

Support safe hospital discharges and mobilisation of new care packages.

Provide clinical support in line with individual care plans.

Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.

Maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
Primary Skills:
-
Bowel & bladder management including catheter care, bladder washouts, and manual evacuation.

Non-invasive respiratory support (CPAP, Bi-PAP).
-
Basic physiotherapy (e.g., passive movements).
-
Enteral feeding – feeds and medication administration.
-
Learning Disability & Autism support, including behaviours of concern.

Airway management – tracheostomy care and invasive ventilation.

Prescribed suctioning (nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal).
-
Supporting individuals with complex behaviours.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience in community or domiciliary healthcare settings.

Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment practices.

Experience supporting clients with both physical and learning disabilities.
Qualifications:

Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

Valid certifications in clinical procedures (e.g., tracheostomy, enteral feeding, CPAP/Bi-PAP).

Up-to-date mandatory training (Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, Infection Control).
