Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist – Femoral to operate, set up, and maintain machining equipment used in the production of high-quality medical device components. This role involves precision machining, adherence to Lean Manufacturing principles, and quality inspection to ensure compliance with strict industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up CNC machining equipment for the production of femoral medical device components.

  • Interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications to ensure precision manufacturing.

  • Conduct visual quality assurance and inspection using metrology tools.

  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Adhere to Lean Manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Maintain accurate data entry and production records.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.

  • Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Primary Skills:

  • Machine set-up and operation in a manufacturing environment.

  • Visual quality assurance and inspection with metrology tools.

  • Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting in a production environment.

  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and basic data entry skills.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Lean Manufacturing experience.

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.

  • Machining trade school training or certification.

  • Basic mathematical ability and information processing skills.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required; post-secondary machining training preferred).

  • Minimum 1+ year experience operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment (medical device manufacturing experience preferred).

  • Machining Trade School certification (preferred).

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently remain in a stationary position.

  • Occasionally move about the building and move equipment.

  • Frequently handle, adjust, inspect, or position various items and equipment.

  • Must be able to distinguish writing, detect defects, and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Must be able to communicate and exchange information effectively with others.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent exposure to noise in a manufacturing environment.
