The client is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with Java/J2EE experience to join their team in Arden Hills, MN. This individual will play a crucial role in defining and implementing software solutions, adhering to best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, debug, modify, and test software programs using Java, C++, Perl, and other current programming languages.
Document software development processes and create change requests, reports, memos, and other documentation as required.
Track software development efforts using approved tracking management tools.
Analyze engineering problems and recommend corrective or alternative actions.
Evaluate and verify requirements, software, and systems using software engineering practices.
Research and select software designs, operating systems, and practices to improve workflow and processes.
Direct support personnel and project activities.
Ensure compliance with quality policies and all documented quality processes and procedures.
Act as a primary contact on contracts or projects, using discretion and diplomacy to resolve issues.
Mentor less experienced staff by setting examples, providing guidance, and offering counsel.

8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
5+ years of experience with Java, C++, and Perl/Python programming languages.
Hands-on experience in Unit testing and Integration testing.
Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including design, requirements, implementation, and testing.
Experience with Lean/Agile development methodologies.

Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams, including systems, firmware, and hardware engineers.
Experience with integrated systems involving hardware test platforms and wireless communication technologies, including MICS and Bluetooth.
Familiarity with Atlassian software suite, Eclipse, and Ubuntu Linux.
