Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sonographer (Advanced Practitioner) to join our team. This role involves performing and reporting on a wide range of ultrasound examinations, delivering the highest standards of patient care, and contributing to the professional development of colleagues. The Sonographer will work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:

Perform and report on a range of ultrasound scans, accurately differentiating between normal and pathological findings.

Carry out biopsies and other interventional procedures (if suitably qualified).

Provide expert advice and guidance to clinicians and junior staff.

Deliver high standards of care to patients and relatives at all times.

Lead, educate, and mentor colleagues to support professional growth and development.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Contribute to developing and implementing cross-site ultrasound services.

Support service efficiency by assisting in developing cross-site working patterns.

Undertake out-of-hours duties as required.
Primary Skills:

Advanced practitioner-level expertise in ultrasound imaging.

Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex images.

Proficiency in performing interventional ultrasound procedures.

Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience in cross-site service delivery.

Leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams.

Familiarity with developing training programs for junior staff.
Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Medical Ultrasound.

Registration with an appropriate professional body (e.g., HCPC).

Advanced Practitioner accreditation preferred.

Relevant clinical experience in sonography.
