Job Title: Rare Disease Specialist

Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rare Disease Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving territory sales, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and executing strategic initiatives to support the launch and growth of treatments within the rare disease or cardiovascular space.

Responsibilities:

Territory & Account Management

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to exceed territory sales goals.

  • Build and sustain impactful relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and institutional decision-makers (IDNs, hospital systems).

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality engagement and service across accounts to drive adoption and utilization.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Navigate complex healthcare systems and decision-making processes within large institutions.

  • Demonstrate agility and resilience in managing stakeholder relationships in fast-paced settings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams—including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and the Patient Hub—to align field efforts with company strategy.

  • Act as the voice of the field, providing valuable insights to internal commercial team.

Travel & Engagement

  • Overnight travel may be necessary depending on territory.

Primary Skills:

  • Pharmaceutical sales experience (5+ years)

  • Strategic territory and account management

  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Field collaboration and cross-functional alignment

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience in rare disease or cardiovascular therapeutic areas

  • Background in cardiology or specialty access models

  • Familiarity with institutional and health system decision-making processes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience

  • 3+ years in rare disease or cardiovascular specialty preferred

  • Proven success with specialty product launches or access-driven sales models

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus
