Job Title: Pharmacist

Job Overview/Summary: We are seeking a Supervising Pharmacist to work onsite for 6-8 hours per week at our client's healthcare facility in New York. The ideal candidate will hold a valid New York pharmacist license and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations and protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all appropriate record-keeping and licensing in compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.

  • Review, update, and adhere to pharmacy protocols and procedures in compliance with all applicable regulatory agency regulations.

  • Report prescription sample audit results and complete retrospective reviews as required by Boards of Pharmacy.

  • Maintain an updated copy of all electronic reference materials (e.g., Drugs and Comparisons).

  • Communicate issues to appropriate management.

  • Participate in continuous improvement processes by providing input for procedural changes.

  • Perform other duties related to pharmacy as assigned or as required by the Board of Pharmacy.

Primary Skills:

  • Valid New York pharmacist license.

  • Proven experience in supervising pharmacy operations.

  • Strong understanding of state and federal pharmacy regulations.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience with prescription sample audits and retrospective reviews.

  • Familiarity with electronic reference materials and pharmacy software systems.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for procedural improvements and implement changes effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field; PharmD preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
