Job Title: Parcel Mapping GIS Analyst

Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Parcel Mapping GIS Analyst to maintain and update property records, ensure GIS parcel layer accuracy, and support property-related analysis for acquisitions, conveyances, and boundary disputes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with GIS tools, deed research, and property record management to safeguard property rights and resolve land-related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update property records by ensuring GIS parcel layer accuracy for acquisitions and conveyances.
  • Research public and corporate land records to verify ownership and sources of title.
  • Provide property support on boundary disputes, encroachments, and land-related concerns.
  • Utilize GIS tools to create maps and exhibits for stormwater assessments and property evaluations.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of plans, plats, and legal descriptions.
  • Assist in resolving boundary discrepancies and special assessment evaluations using GIS and technical tools.
  • Prepare exhibits, maps, and technical documentation to protect property rights.
  • Ensure precision and accuracy in all property data and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Department to coordinate GIS functions and maintain system integrity.

Primary Skills:

  • GIS & Mapping Tools: ArcGIS ESRI (Pro preferred), MicroStation
  • CAD & Design: Computer-Aided Design (CADD)
  • Database & Software: SAP, Access, Excel
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and data accuracy
  • Deed & Property Research: Experience in deed research, property title examination, and boundary analysis

Required Experience:

  • 6-10 years of experience in parcel mapping, GIS analysis, and property record management.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Geospatial Sciences, Business, Surveying-Geomatics, or Geographic Information Systems.
