Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview/Summary:

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at a Medical Center. This position focuses on daily care and stabilization of newborns, collaboration with a nearby Level III NICU, and occasional delivery attendance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to newborns in a Level I nursery

  • Conduct daily rounds on approximately 5 newborns

  • Attend deliveries when requested

  • Take call from home as needed

  • Stabilize, manage, and arrange transport of newborns requiring higher-level care

  • Coordinate with sister Level III NICU located 7 miles away

  • Optional PRN shifts available at Level III NICU in Gastonia

Primary Skills:

  • Advanced clinical skills in neonatal care and stabilization

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Excellent decision-making and communication skills

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience with neonatal transport coordination

  • Familiarity with both Level I and Level III NICU protocols

Qualifications:

  • Current APRN national specialty certification

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Nursing
