Job Title: Medical Primary Care Director

Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Primary Care Director to oversee and lead primary care operations. The ideal candidate will bring clinical excellence, leadership experience, and a commitment to patient-centered care in fast-paced environments such as family practice, emergency medicine, or ambulatory care. The Director will ensure high-quality medical services, regulatory compliance, and effective team collaboration across clinical operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the clinical and administrative functions of primary care operations

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal medical practice laws

  • Provide leadership and direction to medical staff, including performance evaluations and mentorship

  • Maintain clinical involvement through patient care and oversight

  • Drive continuous improvement in patient care delivery and quality outcomes

  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and service expansion

  • Facilitate integration and optimization of electronic medical records (EMR) systems

  • Represent the organization at medical and industry events as needed

Primary Skills:

  • Licensed to practice medicine in each state of practice/oversight

  • Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice/oversight)

  • State narcotic/controlled substance license (if required by state)

  • Current board certification (ABMS, AMA, or AOA) or board eligible (must sit for boards within 1 year of hire)

  • CPR (BLS/ACLS) certification with hands-on skill assessment meeting AHA standards

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience with electronic medical records systems

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards

  • Background in occupational health is a plus

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of clinical experience in family practice, emergency medicine, ambulatory care, or occupational health

  • Minimum 3 years of management or leadership experience in healthcare (preferred)

  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments
