Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an EXFO AT&T Resident Engineer with expertise in mobile operator network architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, and telecom systems. This role involves configuring and fine-tuning solutions, analyzing issues, and providing root cause analysis while working closely with international customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in networking, virtualization, and database management, along with leadership qualities and problem-solving capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and optimize EXFO solutions within AT&T's network environment.
- Support and troubleshoot issues related to 4G/5G mobile operator networks and signaling procedures.
- Work with Kubernetes and Docker for containerized application deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient integration with radio, access, core, and application networks.
- Perform root cause analysis for network and system issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Configure Linux (RedHat, CentOS) and Windows Server (2012, 2016) environments.
- Utilize GitLab, VMWare, KVM, and database management systems (MySQL, Sybase, MSSQL) for system administration and automation.
- Provide technical leadership, ensuring best practices are followed in deployments.
- Engage with international teams and maintain high levels of communication and collaboration.
- Travel when required to support on-site implementation and troubleshooting.
Primary Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a System or Telecom Engineer in the telecommunication industry.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Docker for cloud-native deployments.
- Deep understanding of 4G/5G mobile network architectures and signaling protocols.
- Experience with GitLab, VMWare, KVM, and database management (MySQL, Sybase, MSSQL).
- Proficiency in Linux (RedHat, CentOS) and Windows Server (2012, 2016).
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and optimize network configurations.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Kubernetes Certification (Admin and/or Security Specialist).
- Strong leadership and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with international teams and customers.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
