Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician to support our veterinary team with high-level nursing care and technical proficiency. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and compassion are key to success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians in all aspects of care

  • Provide advanced nursing care to patients with compassion

  • Perform venipuncture (jugular, cephalic, saphenous)

  • Place IV catheters

  • Conduct automated and manual laboratory analysis

  • Capture digital radiographs

  • Triage patients and support workflow for veterinary teams

  • Induce anesthesia, perform endotracheal intubation, and monitor anesthesia

  • Deliver compassionate customer service to clients

  • Perform accurate medical calculations

Primary Skills:

  • Venipuncture and IV catheter placement

  • Anesthesia monitoring and induction

  • Digital radiology

  • Laboratory diagnostics

  • Triage and emergency patient care

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • RVT certification (preferred)

  • Proficiency with EMRs and diagnostic equipment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Emotional intelligence and critical thinking

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted

  • Skilled in patient restraint

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience

  • RVT preferred but not required
