Job Title: Cogito Developer

Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cogito Developer to support reporting and analytics needs using Epic’s Cogito Suite. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, developing reports using SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, and Radar Dashboards, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and usability.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document requirements from stakeholders to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Develop and maintain reports using Epic Cogito tools, including SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, and Custom Radar SQL Metrics.
  • Write SQL queries to extract and transform data from Epic Clarity and Caboodle.
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Epic Applications teams, Clinical Informatics, and internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and usability.
  • Support reporting for clinical applications such as OpTime, Anesthesia, ClinDoc, EpicCare IP, EpicCare Amb, Orders, Willow, and other modules in the Clinical Data Model.
  • Ensure BI reporting follows best practices and aligns with organizational data governance.

Primary Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT or healthcare analytics.
  • 2+ years of recent healthcare or IT experience.
  • 1+ years working with Epic Cogito reporting tools, including SlicerDicer, SQL Metrics, Reporting Workbench, and Radar Dashboards.
  • Strong SQL skills for working with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models.
  • Experience with the report development lifecycle for small to medium-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of BI reporting best practices.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Familiarity with Epic data governance and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data transformation methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • At least one Epic certification OR demonstrated Epic proficiency with 1+ years of experience in a relevant functional area.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
