Job Overview/Summary:
The Bilingual Dental Assistant (DA) plays a key role in supporting both the clinical and administrative aspects of dental care delivery. This non-exempt position involves assisting dental providers with patient care, ensuring a smooth workflow, and delivering information to patients to enhance their understanding and use of dental services. The ideal candidate must meet all the minimum qualifications and be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:

Take and record vital signs and medical histories

Prepare patients for examinations

Ensure rooms are stocked and prepared for doctor’s arrival

Take and develop radiographs (X-rays)

Mix, prepare, and/or provide all necessary materials and instruments

Provide proper instrument set-up before appointments

Assist provider during procedures

Update and maintain accurate patient dental records in the electronic dental record (EDR)

Maintain sterilization and tray set-up
-
Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and PPE regulations

Perform other duties as assigned

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience in a fast-paced dental or clinical environment

Familiarity with electronic dental records (EDR) systems

Knowledge of dental software platforms
Qualifications:

Education: One academic year or longer in an ADA-accredited dental program

Licensure: Coronal polishing, radiographic certification, nitrous oxide sedation (preferred)

Certifications: BLS, OSHA, HIPAA

Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
