Job Title: BARIATRIC COORDINATOR

Job Overview/Summary:

The Bariatric Coordinator will serve as the central point of contact and operations leader for the Bariatric Surgery division, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care from consultation through recovery. This role blends clinical knowledge, administrative expertise, and patient-centered care to support program growth and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as the go-to person for daily office operations within the Bariatric Surgery division

  • Ensure smooth workflows and efficient staffing to deliver timely, high-quality care

  • Coordinate the full patient journey—from initial consult to post-op recovery

  • Collaborate with Marketing to host community educational seminars

  • Support maintenance of MBSAQIP accreditation and compliance with program regulations

  • Monitor patient outcomes and quality metrics; optimize processes accordingly

  • Work with billing teams to ensure documentation accuracy and reimbursement

Primary Skills:

  • 3–5 years of bariatric experience, including program development and budgeting

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Knowledge of billing, coding, and Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation standards (e.g., MBSAQIP)

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience hosting patient education events

  • Prior collaboration with marketing or community outreach teams

  • Data analysis and process improvement capabilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Nutrition and Dietetics

  • Active state license in healthcare field (RN, RD, etc.)

  • Registered Dietitians must have credentials from the Commission on Dietetics Registration

  • BCLS certification
